mORMotService

Is it just me or is service shutdown a bit "brutal" and you get messages when shutting down from the service manager? (Services.msc)

@ab: in dwsWindowsServices I added a couple features you may want to integrate - so I can remove my intermediate class wink - one is the ability to set the service description, the other is to detect is the exe was launched by the SCM. This allows to make executables that can work both as application and as service (like DWSWebServer demo).

Re: mORMotService

Last time I tried to use synopse services implementation (a few months ago) they did not work for me and finally I ended up with native embarcadero implementation, which looks nice.

Re: mORMotService

The service implementation within synopse was meant to be used mainly with LVCL.
We did make some corrections to the unit, thanks to user feedback.

Your proposals are worth a ticket.

It is always better to create a ticket than a Forum post, which we may forget about.

Re: mORMotService

Ok, I'll look into what's wrong.

At some point in time the Delphi TService support wasn't available in all Delphi editions, so that's why I went for mORMotService (and your versions was going to be lighter and more "fixable" anyway).
