PDF Engine - XE3 (Firemonkey)

Hello,

Will there ever be a Firemonkey compatible version of the PDF Engine ?
IE:- One that will work on both Windows AND OSX ?

Re: PDF Engine - XE3 (Firemonkey)

It is not planned to be implemented by me, since:
- OSX has already PDF support
- FireMonkey is not stable (See FM -> FM² breaking changes)
- FireMonkey lacks of a "TMetaFile-like" vectorial process (PDF using bitmaps is far from efficient)
- SynPDF core is not very tied to Windows, but it uses some low-level functions of SynCommons, which is not OSX ready by now
- We do not need this compatibility.

But since our library is Open Source, feel free to make it compatible, if you need.

If you need something cross-platform, using http://libharu.org is a good choice.
It is easy to work with, but it does not have all features of our library (like pure Delphi code, TCanvas/TMetaFile compatibility, or UniScribe support).
