Compile in Lazarus

Hi,

I would like to install the server mORMot (SQLite DB) in a VPS (Linux CentOS or Debian)
Do you have any plans for when you want to support Lazarus?

Congratulations to mORMot

Re: Compile in Lazarus

Yes, we have plans on supporting FPC.

First item is to target Windows compilation with FPC.
Then server-side compilation with Linux.
Last time I checked, compilation was OK (we tried to maintain compatibility with FPC), but we had GPF due to the internal RTTI differences.

See our roadmap.

I can assure you that the Delphi "NextGen" roadmap does not fit our needs.
See http://blog.synopse.info/post/2013/05/1 … sapointing
This is why we consider FPC support.
Latest FPC 2.7 branch is just great - http://wiki.freepascal.org/FPC_New_Features_Trunk and http://wiki.freepascal.org/User_Changes_Trunk

I've created a specific feature request ticket.

Any help is welcome!

Re: Compile in Lazarus

Free Pascal support definitely will be great, since then we'll be able to run our REST sever on a LINUX server or a Max OS machine!

Delphi XE4 Pro on Windows 7 64bit.
Lazarus trunk built with fpcupdelux on Windows with cross-compile for Linux 64bit.
