crashed when coding by delphi7 uses the unit SynCommons.pas

the mORMot version is trunk. i think SynCommons.pas  size is too big?  ：）

Yes, Delphi IDEs (even newer versions) have problems with those units.
No issue on latest Lazarus, on the other hand.
Usually, you don't need to touch those units in your own projects.

https://github.com/synopse/mORMot2 will have much smaller units, and still be Delphi 7 compatible.

Not yet.

A lot of work to do still...

But I guess the next port will be faster, in average.
The core JSON has been rewritten, so it took time.
