Can we change LGPL to LGPL + static linking exception?
Now there is no difference between GPL and LGPL (creating DLL is impossible for mORMot framework so in that case LGPL is almost like GPL)... To be 100% legal LGPL + static linking exception is perfect solution.

Why not use MPL in this case?
I like to use LGPL with static-linking-exception powered by GNU . Pure LGPL is confusing. Many pascal OS projects provides LGPL with static-linking-exception (for example https://github.com/BeRo1985/besen and IIRC FPC libraries). AFAIK for our mORMot LGPL = GPL (because is impossible to create something like *.bpl in FPC) so in the fact, mORMot has dual license model : GPL and MPL.

No response? ;d I need to prepare new Lazarus distribution and modified LGPL will be more compatible with Lazarus LCL, I want to omit any confusion... Mormot is the main point of my new Lazarus distro...

I've added the "FPC modified LGPL" mention in the license.
See http://synopse.info/files/html/Synopse% … ml#TITL_34
and http://synopse.info/forum/viewtopic.php?id=27
Hope it helps.

Thanks, mORMot is very important and I see bright future of mORMot as part of FCL or LCL, so that change is very important to be legal (also with new distro) and for promoting mORMot inside Lazarus community.
