Re: High-performance frameworks

On the server, I use for testing I have very limited rights. I can't verify updates, reconfigure posgres or tune OS, so lets wait for TFB round...

Re: High-performance frameworks

Perhaps we could rent some high end hardware in the clouds for a few minutes/hours, to make our own tests.
For instance, a b2-120 at OVH with 32 cores? https://www.ovhcloud.com/en/public-cloud/prices/#419

Re: High-performance frameworks

Depending on how that cloud works, that would be quite cheap way to get tested on high end machine.

IOPS one has pretty impressive stats.
i1-180    180 GB    32    50 GB SSD    4 x 1.9 TB    8 Gbps guaranteed    4 Gbps max.    $1.96 /hour

If could remotely start, update things, and run, get results and show down the machine.

Beast would be if there could be pre paid credit, put like 200€ and if the server would stop working after it is used, then it would be safe, if some mishap.

Bet there is some cloud operator who has some testing frendly plan. Which would prevent ridiculously expensive mishaps if something keeps on running there, even one things it is shut down.

Re: High-performance frameworks

The core of cloud provider business it to sell more resources they have.
For servers with 32 physical cores they usually sells at last 32*4 vCPU. We never know what tasks are running in the VM on the same host where our VM is located, and test results will vary over a wide range.
This is why I prefer dedicated servers.
But you can try.

Re: High-performance frameworks

The most close to TFB environment is Dual Xeon Raise-5 for $215/month - we can use first code for app server an second - for Postgres+wrk

Re: High-performance frameworks

A new round started today...
https://tfb-status.techempower.com/

But they did not include the latest pull request!
https://github.com/TechEmpower/Framewor … /pull/7833
So I am afraid we will have to wait for the next round to have some news... sad

@ab, most of the open sources maintainers are not as quick as you (thanks for your perfect support!)
So yes, will wait for a next round...
